Enjoy Regular Practice
Weekly Game is designed to help you learn by playing. We actually thought of it during a class. My students enjoyed playing a grammar game so much that they asked me to do this regularly.
Indeed, what is more pleasurable than being able to show off your abilities and compete with your peers in a friendly environment? At the end of each game, we could assess our strengths and weaknesses, giving students a chance for both instant gratification and an indication of where they should put their attention next, should they wish to win the next game.
That's when the idea of publishing an e-zine offering subscribers a game per week appeared, when I thought that more people could benefit from my selection of games than the limited group of 12-15 students at a time. Feel free to subscribe and get the Play & Learn! E-zine for yourself or your children, from the top-right corner of any page of this website. Share it with your friends!
This is a vast area of ESL activities - a teacher could use hundreds of games, songs and stories in the process of imparting that knowledge to students. Used well in class and in extra-curricular programmes, games could change a student's attitude toward English as a subject and learning as a major part of life.
This page is for us to explore possibilities continuously, by presenting various authors' games and fun activities and making their products available to members of My English Club worldwide.
