For you to truly master your English phrases, idioms and any new vocabulary, you need to study them in context. You can say that you master them when you don't encounter problems anymore in neither of the four aspects of English: reading, writing, listening and speaking.
You can reach this stage only if you take your studying and practice seriously. Make it fun,of course - this helps, but I mean have the serious determination to reach there in the end regardless. Never give up! Like the babies learning to walk - they never give up...
In this section we shall look at words and their various forms, their origin, the use of synonyms, antonyms, their meaning and the way stress and intonation can change the meaning of certain words in English.
Let's consider a fairly simple way of creating new words, by adding a combination of letters to existing words. The word you have originally is called the 'root word' and the addition is of two kinds: a prefix, if you add it in front of the 'root word' and a suffix, if you add it at the end.
