My English Club ~ Future

I used to address the daily learning needs of my students when I worked on my contracts overseas, hence the lessons I added to these pages and the weekly English Corner E-zine. Since this website is for you, my readers, I suggest I should address your needs, if you are ready for this.

We are a family of like-minded individuals and what we have in common is progressing our linguistic skills - some of you for work, others for pleasure and I am here to facilitate and guide you through that.

What I want to do now that we are approaching our 100 Anniversary of our English Corner E-zine, is to put our family on the map of your consciousness and to make this effort a more involved one than just passively receiving lessons and perhaps learning something in the meanwhile.

HOW? In the past 2 years the website has grown a lot, but it hasn't improved in quality - I just added more content. This phase was necessary and I proved to myself, as well as my readers that I can do this task in a reliable and fairly flexible way, but my work was based on the needs of my classroom students, while the rest of you had to accept the 'order of the day' with no say in it.

Now we're ready to add quality and interaction to My English Club. Quality is only quality if it is needed, so it must be in line with your needs. For quite a while we had the section of 'English for Work' but I never built this part of the website so far. Now is the moment to launch this rocket and for this I need your input - please make me aware of your needs by replying to my short list of questions, or by filling in this short survey. I shall then start a dialogue with each one of you who shows interest for this aspect.

Please help me to help you ;-)

MEC has grown during its infancy stage and it has become more successful over the first 3 years, but it just lacks that fizz, that buzz - the FUN element in your learning, that makes you love to come back for more. This is what we need to add during the next stage of our development. It will cost some time and a reasonable investment in some adequate software, as I cannot programme code to save my life! I'm preparing a business plan to raise some capital for this, but I need your sincere input, for me to test that what I'm proposing is REALLY what my readers need and want, and more ... it must be what my readers LOVE! So ... we need to talk, my brothers and sisters, cousins and students. I never felt alone in the world since I have gathered you around me, but we haven't as such communicated much during the past 3 years. I wish we could start to share some insights about where we're heading next and build our new level together. Are you ready for the excitement? Jump in - the train is at your station, don't miss it my friends!

Are we going to shake hands on this?
